The Product Designer will play a critical role in shaping the Eight Sleep app, focusing on creating engaging and intuitive user experiences. Responsibilities include end-to-end design, conducting usability studies, and iterating based on user feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design: Sit at the intersection of Design and Product, playing a key role in the end-to-end design and evolution of the Eight Sleep app
- Validate: Conduct usability studies and user interviews, use data to inform design work
- Iterate: Combine qualitative and quantitative customer insights to improve app experience, reduce churn, and increase engagement
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver captivating user experiences
- Build, document, and organize the UI components of the design library
- Align with Product and Brand stakeholders and present design updates to C-suite leadership
- Serve as the subject matter expert responsible for app design patterns and interactions
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in UX and UI, with a strong portfolio including live mobile examples
- Shipped designs to public users with data proving success or failure
- Consider technical implications of design decisions
- Experience coaching junior designers and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers
- Obsessed with simplicity and high-quality aesthetics
- Thrives as an independent thinker and manages the design process
- Able to iterate fast and often
- Confident in writing clear agendas and decks, and presenting design evolutions to C-Suite leadership
- Open to occasional travel to other office locations (San Francisco, Milan)
