Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user experiences for identity security and AI integrations. Support usability testing and iterate on design solutions using qualitative and quantitative data.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Staff Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers on projects across identity security, FGA, and AI integrations.
- Design experiences across SDKs, CLIs, APIs, and web interfaces that developers rely on.
- Turn complex identity and authorization workflows into simple, usable patterns.
- Contribute to our design system while experimenting with new patterns for emerging use cases.
- Support usability testing with Research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into design improvements.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to validate and iterate on design solutions.
- Share work early and often, participating in critiques and collaborating across teams.
- Help strengthen design culture at Okta through feedback, documentation, and collaboration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product design, ideally with developer platforms, B2B SaaS, or technical tools.
- Strong UI/UX/visual design craft, with a portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking and end-to-end ownership.
- Experience designing for technical audiences (SDKs, APIs, developer tooling, or security products).
- Ability to translate highly technical or abstract problems into usable, elegant solutions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast-moving, experimental environments.
- Strong communication skills; you can tell the story of your design decisions and align diverse stakeholders.
