UX Designer, YouTube Connected TV Experience

Develop end-to-end designs for user journeys and key features across various platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and implement user-centered design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end designs for user journeys and key features, from wireframes and mockups to high-fidelity prototypes for TV, mobile, and web platforms.
• Articulate design ideas and solutions using scenarios, storyboards, presentations, and detailed interaction specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in UX, Product Management, and Engineering to create and implement user-centered design solutions.
• Partner with UX Research to formulate research hypotheses and translate user insights into impactful design improvements.
• Contribute to the overall UX goal and strategy, advocate for user-focused design principles to influence product direction and ensure consistency across the YouTube ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Experience creating, implementing, defining, or working with design systems.
• Experience with visual design in product or UX design environments.
• Experience designing consumer-facing products.

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
• Experience with interactive TV or streaming products (preferred).
• Experience with prototyping and a variety of UX design tools (preferred).
• Experience designing across multiple platforms, including mobile, desktop, and TV surfaces (preferred).
• Ability to balance short-term objectives with long-term strategic design thinking to influence product direction (preferred).
