Lead Product Designer - Spend & Expense

As a Lead Product Designer, you will lead design projects and drive innovation while addressing complex design challenges. You will also mentor junior designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with broader business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Navigates ambiguity, tackling intricate design problems and driving innovation while orchestrating design strategy for multiple projects.
- Identifies opportunities to innovate and create user-centered solutions that significantly contribute to business growth.
- Demonstrating advanced skills in persuasively conveying design rationale and its strategic implications.
- Leads design projects and delegates work to junior designers and cross-functional partners.
- Provides direction and guidance to the design team, acting as a role model, mentor, and leader to lower level designers.
- Increasingly influential in overall product/design sub-teams.
- Leads discussions and cross-functional collaboration to achieve project goals, demonstrating empathy for peer roles and responsibilities and how to utilize each function effectively.
- Leads design strategy discussions within the team and line of business, shaping the team's roadmap by aligning design with broader product and business strategies.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading design projects from concept to launch.
- Previous experience in FinTech or a related industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Business Acumen: Understands the broader business strategy and guides their team to make design decisions that strategically balance user needs with significant business impact and ROI.
- Product Design Craft: Sets a high bar for design quality within their team, guiding the creation of exceptional user experiences that adhere to and evolve design systems strategically, while effectively balancing constraints.
- Customer Centricity: Champions a customer-centric approach within their team, ensuring that user needs are central to the design process and that solutions are validated through user feedback to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
- Influence: Effectively influences the design direction and process for their product area, fostering a culture of innovation and successfully advocating for user-centered design with leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Communication: Communicates a clear vision and strategy for design within their product area, effectively articulating the value of design to stakeholders and inspiring their team.
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Design, Interaction Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
