Sr. Product Designer - Tracks and Playsets

The Sr. Product Designer will generate new toy ideas and execute product designs for Hot Wheels Licensed Entertainment Tracks and Playsets. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product integrity and effectively communicate concepts to various departments.
Responsibilities
- Actively generate new toy ideas to enhance Licensed Entertainment Tracks and Playsets
- Execute on both Product Designs and potentially Graphic Designs
- Design and develops for Tracks and Playsets toys and/or advertised lines or segments of product
- Builds alignment and partnerships between members throughout the design process
- Partner with cross functional teams including Development Design, Engineering, Packaging and Cost Engineering to ensure product integrity and marketing objectives
- Daily communication with our Mattel Asia design and development partners
- Successfully present and communicate their concepts to the design, marketing and Management and other creative departments
- Manage the early phases of design and development with other disciplines within the company
Requirements
- 4+ years of Toy design experience
- Skilled in sketching and illustration
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and 2D computer programs
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
- Knowledge of 3D CAD (Alias, Rhino 3D is a plus)
- Knowledge of material and manufacturing process for soft goods and plastics
- Some knowledge of mechanism in toy
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Ability to project manage
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design excellence and superior problem solving
