Principal UX Designer

The Principal UX Designer will shape the product vision and strategy for Fortnite, collaborating closely with leadership and cross-discipline teams. They will drive design execution by delivering screens, prototypes, and specifications while facilitating ideation and concept development.

Responsibilities

• Shape product vision and strategy in close collaboration with Fortnite leadership
• Drive design execution by delivering screens, prototypes, and specifications
• Facilitate ideation and concept development, championing new ideas
• Collaborate with cross-discipline peers to ensure alignment across product, production, and engineering teams
• Collaborate with other design leaders to build a shared process, design system, and cross-product pattern libraries

Requirements

• Skilled storyteller and presenter
• Comprehensive understanding of building best-in-class end-to-end product experiences
• Ability to identify the most appropriate tool for a given task
• Clear and effective feedback to other designers
• Ownership of the craft and quality of work
• Track record of building and maintaining relationships with cross-discipline teams, design peers, and upper management
• Passion for making and playing games, strong sense of player empathy, high level of self-motivation, and commitment to personal growth and development
• Portfolio of relevant design work
