Senior Product Designer, UX – Consumer Experiences

Remote $90,000 - $120,000 Full-time Senior

Lead design for key initiatives across the consumer product ecosystem, including onboarding and interactive storytelling. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and editors to deliver user-centered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design for key initiatives across the consumer product ecosystemβ€”from onboarding and checkout to interactive storytelling.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate your design decisions.
  • Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI that align with our design system and brand.
  • Collaborate closely with design leads and cross-functional partners to define product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Present your work to stakeholders and advocate for the user at every step of the process.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in consumer-facing or content-rich environments.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, visual design skills, and a track record of shipping impactful work.
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience with user research and testing tools.
  • Experience using and building Figma design systems (UI kits) using best practices for delivery at scale.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to give and receive feedback with clarity and empathy.
  • A curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies can enhance user experiences and create efficiencies.

Key Skills

  • Experience designing subscription-based products or media platforms
  • Familiarity with data visualization, storytelling formats, or editorial tools
  • Passion for journalism, design systems, and building accessible, inclusive experiences
