Graphic Designer – Educational Book Design (Adobe InDesign Expert)

Design and format educational books and manuals, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with brand standards. Collaborate with various teams to translate educational content into visually appealing layouts and optimize files for print and digital formats.
Responsibilities
- Design and format educational books/manuals (cover to content), including textbooks, workbooks, teacher manuals, and activity books.
- Ensure visual consistency and alignment with brand and academic standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Content Development, Curriculum, and Product Teams to translate educational content into visually appealing layouts.
- Design infographics, illustrations, and vector assets to enhance content clarity and visual engagement.
- Optimize files for print and digital formats ensuring high-quality output.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight timelines with strong attention to detail.
- Suggest creative improvements in layout, imagery, and overall design aesthetic.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in book/page layout design, preferably in the K–12 education or publishing domain.
- Strong understanding of typography, spacing, grids, alignment, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback.
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field preferred.
- Experience in STEM/Robotics-based educational content is a plus.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms, digital textbooks, or interactive PDFs.
- Ability to adapt visual styles to suit different learning age groups.
- BFA or B. Tech equivalent Technical Graduates and Post Graduates preferred.
