The Graphic Designer will design engaging print assets that align with the brand's visual identity and collaborate with the design team. They will manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery of all creative assets.
Responsibilities
- Design print assets that are engaging, original, functional and align and enhance the brand's visual identity for various Marketing channels including PR, Events and Retail
- Work collaboratively alongside a team of Digital Designers and Senior Art Director
- Collaborate with briefing stakeholders and establish key project objectives
- Set up print ready artwork for all designed assets and review and approve digital and physical colour proofs
- Support with refining and evolving the brand guidelines by creating content across a variety of print media
- Concept creative ideas that reflect the brand positioning, are practically achievable and strategically appropriate
- Present solutions to briefs that support the marketing strategy, both commercially and creatively
- Manage workload and ensure timely delivery of all projects, meeting all sign-off points and flagging up any potential risks or delays
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design trends and techniques
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing print graphics for beauty, fashion or retail brands (in-house or agency)
- Highly creative with the ability to own projects from the initial concept stage to delivery
- Experience designing across multiple print graphic design assets for both 2D and 3D elements and strong expertise in production processes including print specs and artwork requirements
- Strong layout design skills for brochures and mailers with the ability to translate ideas and information into creative which is both visually engaging and conveys clear key messaging
- Passion for typography and strong understanding of typographic lockup best practice
- Strong understanding of how research and data impact design strategies
- Expert artworking skills with the knowledge and ability to set up print ready artwork, review and approve digital and physical colour proofs confidently and independently
- Knowledge of print techniques and paper stock, weight, folding and construction and where best to use these
- Expert working knowledge of Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Figma
- Experience with Sketchup is beneficial
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Flawless attention to detail
- Strong ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask to manage several projects simultaneously
- Highly collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoys partnering with other teams to use design to solve business problems
- Startup experience is a bonus
Key Skills
