The Graphic Designer will develop visually compelling creative assets for product, channel, and digital marketing teams, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. This includes designing packaging, promotional materials, and digital assets while managing multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Product Marketing design: Design and develop product labels and packaging in alignment with brand guidelines, which convey accurate messaging.
- Adapt U.S. product labels to Canadian bilingual requirements, integrating French translations and local regulatory requirements ensuring visual appeal and brand identity compliance.
- Update and modify existing labels and marketing materials as needed based on product updates or regulatory changes.
- Create mockups, illustrations, logos, and other graphics and preliminary label studies for new labels and recommend the best solution based on local competitive and retail landscape.
- QA designs for errors
- Pass final design to development or publishing teams for release
- Channel Marketing design: Design and update promotional materials including brochures, sell sheets, POS displays, and shelf signage.
- Create display renderings, end cap art, and product superimpositions using die lines and print-ready formats.
- Maintain and update the merchandising toolbox flipbooks, print and digital (DAP, Home Depot).
- Develop and revise files for display headers and 3D renderings.
- Support the creation and revision of print and digital assets for retail programs and channel-specific initiatives.
- Digital Marketing design: Design digital assets for web, email, social media, and paid advertising campaigns.
- Develop visual content for landing pages, microsites, and digital banners.
- Produce graphics (advanced content) for DAP and retailersβ websites, including product imagery and promotional content.
- Assist in the creation of infographics, data visualizations, and interactive content.
- Design templates and layouts for newsletters and email marketing.
- Collaborate on video projects by designing overlays, thumbnails, and end screens.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Optimize graphics for performance across devices and platforms.
- Ensure all graphic content is aligned with brand guidelines.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure designs meet brand, marketing, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare print-ready files with precise specifications for production.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, regulatory) and external vendors (printers, agencies) to ensure design feasibility and quality.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library for packaging and promotional materials.
- Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel at least quarterly to the DAP head office in Baltimore, MD for meetings and training with the US Creative Team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in packaging, label design, and promotional material development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. CAD and Canva desirable.
- Strong knowledge of print production processes, color management, dielines, and typography.
- Experience with multiple types of design, including product labels, digital marketing and promotional materials.
- Detail-oriented with excellent layout and composition skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
Key Skills
