Senior UX Designer - R&D Energy Resource

The Senior UX Designer will develop and implement user-centric design solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. They will create design artifacts and advocate for user-centric improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing user-centric design solutions that align with IFS's commitment to excellence in customer experience
• Conducting thorough research on diverse user personas and their operational contexts to inform design decisions and enhance product functionality
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, program management, and software engineering, throughout the project lifecycle
• Creating comprehensive design artifacts, including wireframes, user stories, mock-ups, and prototypes, to effectively communicate user experience concepts
• Participating in the agile development process, iterating designs as necessary to address emerging requirements and challenges
• Advocating for user-centric improvements and innovations within our products and framework, demonstrating a commitment to continuous enhancement
• Proactively contributing to problem-solving initiatives and taking ownership of design projects from conception to implementation
• Engaging with stakeholders and customers to gather feedback and conduct user testing, ensuring that design solutions meet both business objectives and user needs
• Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in user experience design
• Upholding the highest standards of usability and user-centered design practices in all aspects of work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• 2 to 6 years of professional experience in a similar capacity
• Demonstrated proficiency in usability principles and user-centered design practices
• Proven ability to work across multiple design disciplines with a 'generalist' mindset
• Strong commitment to staying abreast of emerging technologies and driving innovation
• Extensive experience in creating user flows and prototypes
• Demonstrated willingness to engage directly with users, customers, and stakeholders for research purposes
• Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate design processes to stakeholders and interested parties
• Proven track record of successful collaboration within cross-functional teams
• Ability to align work schedule with 2-3 hours of overlap with U.S. business hours

Key Skills

• Proficiency in Figma or comparable design tools
• Substantial experience with best-of-breed or enterprise-wide business applications
