The successful candidate will design noise control products from initial concept to manufacturing details and support the product development process. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design noise control products for production from initial concept submittal to manufacturing details
- Supporting the product development process, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
- Utilizing 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDEDGE, AUTOCAD) for design and documentation
- Assist production with manufacturing issues as required
- Do material estimates for projects and work with Purchasing teams to order materials in advance of production schedule
- Work with Application’s engineering team to come up with custom solutions as required by customer
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent)
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with peers
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and MS Office applications
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or the HVAC industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of product development processes and design for manufacturability concepts
