LawDepot is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to lead the development of a customer-centered UX strategy and enhance user experience across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a customer-centered UX strategy that connects product entry points with high-conversion paths
- Create experience maps, future-state journey flows, and system-wide interaction models
- Define vision artifacts that articulate long-term UX goals for the platform
- Redesign existing flows (e.g., onboarding, selection, document upload, signing, notarization) to reduce friction and increase clarity
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure seamless transitions between discovery, engagement, and purchase
- Align design language, component usage, and behavioral consistency across product lines
- Partner with design systems contributors to ensure patterns support cross-product journeys
- Support junior and mid-level designers on tactical BAU projects by guiding design rationale, prioritization, and consistency
- Ensure continuity of quality even in ongoing releases, while pushing long-term improvements
- Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, and conversion analysis to inform design decisions
- Identify pain points and opportunities that impact trust, understanding, and task completion
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a Design related program
- 5+ years of experience in a User Experience (UX) Designer, Product Designer, Service Designer, User Interface (UI) Designer, or Web Designer role
- Strong familiarity with product and problem discovery & knowledge of B2C product design and optimizing self-serve customer funnels
- Strong product design skills with a portfolio showcasing user-centered design across complex applications
- Advanced understanding of accessibility, responsiveness, modularity, and cross-platform consistency
- Expert proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Storybook, etc.
- Ability to lead workshops, influence stakeholders, and align design with business goals
- Navigate ambiguity and complex stakeholders to deliver clear, user-focused design solutions
- Familiarity with legal tech products or transactional systems (e.g., e-signature, document workflows, or verification) is an asset
- Working knowledge of AI prototyping tools, and AI driven products experiences (chatbots, copilots) is an asset
