Web Designer

The UI/UX Web Designer will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance digital platforms, focusing on user experience and design consistency. They will conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive design solutions
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions
- Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for website and intranet updates
- Ensure designs align with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and government digital service guidelines
- Provide guidance on UX best practices and contribute to the development of design systems
- Work closely with developers and content teams to implement and refine designs
- Identify opportunities to reinforce and streamline digital platform functionality
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in UI/UX design, preferably in public sector or government settings
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with government websites, intranet systems, and digital transformation initiatives
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a structured environment
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and CMS platforms is a plus
