The Web Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites, web pages, and digital interfaces. This role will collaborate with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency and excellent user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement website layouts, user interfaces, and graphics that align with brand identity
- Build conversion optimized landing pages
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for websites and web applications
- Construct webpages in both structured (headless architecture) and unstructured (visual builder) platforms
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and content creators to ensure seamless execution
- Optimize designs for performance, usability, accessibility, and responsive behavior
- Maintain and update existing websites to enhance user experience
- Stay updated on web design trends, technologies, and best practices
Requirements

- Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA’s mission, vision, and values
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics
- Strong understanding of branding and design principles with a particular 'eye' for design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, or Sketch
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (bonus if proficient)
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, Sitecore, Shopify, etc)
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and typography
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or related field is preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience in web design
- Two (2) or more years of experience UX/UI design is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a valid driver’s license
