Take ownership of mid-sized UX projects and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Present research insights and recommendations while adapting to project scopes and demonstrating a deep understanding of the user's journey.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of mid-sized UX projects, executing with significant autonomy after initial direction.
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams including UX, Product, and Engineering.
- Adapt to project scope, playing both supportive and lead roles as needed.
- Consistently contribute to projects, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Present and deliver research insights and actionable recommendations with some oversight.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the user's journey and its impact on deliverables.
- Execute and improve research processes, showcasing strong and capable engagement in standard design methodologies.
- Use data to confidently communicate design decisions, rationales, and UX improvements that deliver measurable business impact.
Requirements
- A seasoned UX professional with experience using a variety of qualitative research methodologies.
- Proven track record of consistent and effective contributions to UX projects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with an attention to detail.
- Experience using AI to assist throughout the research process.
- Expertise with research tools such as UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, Dovetail, and Google Forms.
Key Skills
- Experience working closely with UX Designers, UX Content Strategists, PMs, Engineers, CX, and other cross-functional teams.
- Experience working on research at the intersection of hardware, software, and service design.
- Degree in a human behavior-related field.
- Deep professional experience in applied research outside of academic training.
- Willingness to travel once or twice per year to SimpliSafe’s satellite offices in Richmond, VA.
