Own and drive multi-phase research roadmaps while designing and conducting research to uncover insights and user needs. Communicate findings through reports and presentations to influence product strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive multi-phase research roadmaps, covering tactical efforts across the product portfolio.
  • Design, plan, and conduct research by applying various methodological approaches to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data, uncovering insights, user needs, and opportunities.
  • Communicate research findings through compelling reports and presentations to influence product strategy and deliver insights to stakeholders and executives.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Management, and Engineering leaders to ensure product excellence and help drive the direction of the product.
  • Contribute to a vibrant and supportive team culture by being curious, asking questions, and testing the status quo.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic), or similar.
  • Experience with qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, ethnography, usability studies).
  • Experience with quantitative methods and data analysis (e.g., surveys, statistical analysis, modeling).
  • Experience presenting research findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting research on Generative AI, Augmented Reality, or hardware devices.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above) (preferred).
  • Experience driving research programs in ambiguous or novel product areas with evolving priorities (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience tailoring compelling research narratives to different audiences (preferred).
  • A portfolio of research that demonstrates creative and effective approaches to problem-solving and deliverable creation (preferred).
