Senior UX Designer (1 year contract)

The Senior UX Designer will lead the end-to-end design process, creating user-centered designs and high-fidelity prototypes for mobile and web platforms. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with business goals and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Design Excellence: Deliver high-impact, user-centered designs and advanced interaction designs across mobile and web platforms
- Create high-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate seamless user flows and sophisticated behaviors, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards
- Strategic Design Communication: Lead presentations of design concepts and solutions to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, effectively articulating design rationale, integrating diverse feedback, and driving alignment through iterative refinement
- End-to-End Project Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Lead the UX design process for complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery to delivery
- Apply critical thinking to define problem spaces, synthesize user insights, and translate business goals into actionable design strategies
- Develop user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and final designs that balance user needs, technical constraints, and stakeholder priorities
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to align designs with business requirements, technical feasibility, and data-driven insights
- Advocate for user-centered solutions in strategic discussions
- Contribute to Design System: Actively contribute to our design system, ensuring a cohesive look, feel, and functionality across Air Milesβ digital products
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in UX design, with a robust portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and successful project outcomes
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and a proven ability to create high-fidelity designs prototypes
- Knowledge in conducting user research and usability testing, with the ability to analyze data and translate findings into compelling design solutions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating discussions with stakeholders
- Strategic thinking skills to align design initiatives with business objectives and user needs, ensuring a cohesive and effective user experience
