Hybrid Full-time Chief

Lead the design strategy for platform products focusing on infrastructure provisioning and AI-driven application modernization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user-centered design and technical feasibility in product development.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the design vision for platform products in alignment with business goals and technical capabilities
  • Lead the end-to-end design process including discovery, ideation, prototyping and delivery for both infrastructure and application platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture and product teams to understand platform capabilities and constraints
  • Translate complex technical workflows into intuitive design systems and user experiences
  • Champion the needs of users including application engineers, site reliability engineers and product teams
  • Conduct user research, usability testing and feedback loops to inform design decisions
  • Establish and maintain scalable design systems that ensure consistency and accessibility across platform interfaces
  • Ensure all design outputs are technically feasible and aligns to group technology strategy
  • Partner with crew leads, crew tech leads, product owners, engineers and business stakeholders to co-create platform features and experiences
  • Advocate for design excellence and user empathy in technical and strategic conversations

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing complex technical products, ideally in platform or infrastructure domains
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and modern application architectures
  • Expertise in interaction design, systems thinking and information architecture
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive user experiences
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially when engaging with technical audiences
  • Experience with developer platforms, engineering tooling or enterprise-grade infrastructure products (preferred)

Key Skills
