UX Designer

As a UX Designer, you will design the look, feel, branding, and flow of front ends for safety-critical AI tools. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user requirements and conduct user research.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and business objectives
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user needs and behaviors
- Create wireframes, mockups, and GenAI-aided prototypes to communicate design concepts and solutions
- Design user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications, considering usability principles, accessibility guidelines, and industry best practices
- Work with development teams to implement designs and ensure a consistent user experience across platforms
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results
- Stay current with UX trends, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge with the team
- Once familiar with our users and use cases, form a strong coherent branding opinion
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in the defense or government sector
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience with user research techniques, including usability testing and user interviews
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing accessible interfaces
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required)
- Must be a US Citizen
Key Skills
- Experience designing for complex enterprise or government systems
- Previous experience designing sophisticated GIS user interfaces
- Experience designing video game interfaces
- Knowledge of military or defense industry standards and protocols
