Product Designer (Bilingual Korean & English)

The Product Designer will create and develop new product designs and patterns for HIMACS and VIATERA, collaborating with various teams to support design launches. Responsibilities also include analyzing competitor designs and presenting proposals to customers.

Responsibilities

• Create Design Rational and Presentations to new design launches, to support marketing and sales, and work closely with Product Planning, Marketing and Product Management team to support for design launch needs
• Develop new HIMACS, VIATERA, and TERACANTO designs by working and collaborating with Product Planning, PM and Technical team
• Analyze competitor’s design and customer requirements
• Perform regularly competitor design analysis on HIMACS, VIATERA, and TERACANTO
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers
• Collaborate with HQ Design Center or external experts
• Understand general and new technical manufacturing process for developing new products
• Develop design strategies and concepts
• Develop prototypes and evaluate test samples / color matching
• Improve existing products as needed
• Present design & trend proposal to customers at internal and external events
• Manage outsourced designs by working with product planning

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in textile, graphic, interior, industrial design or related field
• 4+ years experience in product design preferred
• Direct experience in designing Quartz and/or Solid Surfaces preferred
• MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
