Senior Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer will translate business requirements and customer needs into intuitive designs for software platforms. They will lead all stages of the product design process and mentor junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Apply modern design principles and user-centered methodologies to B2B SaaS and data-driven web and mobile platforms, within a fast-paced Agile environment
- Create UX designs using sketches, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes using industry standard tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Plan and execute research activities including tool selection, participant recruitment, interviews and workshops, and analysisβ with support from the product team. Gather insights and synthesize findings to validate designs and identify new opportunities
- Lead all stages of the product design process, from feature definition to ideation to low- and high-fidelity designs and preparing assets for development
- Mentor junior designers
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working in a startup, progressive B2B, SaaS, or consumer-based company
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on demonstrating beneficial business outcomes with design
- Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, UX content writing, visual design, and strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines
- Experience leading the design of a product within a cross-functional team
- Proficiency in conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Competence in using current UX tools and software, including prototyping tools, user testing platforms, and design systems
- Familiarity with Agile project management and the ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback
- Proven experience designing mobile-first experiences, as well as responsive and/or Progressive Web Application product experiences
- A clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility, and web standards
- Proven experience designing for ancillary product touchpoints such as email, text, and chat-based interactions
- Highly proficient in UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- A portfolio that demonstrates expertise in mobile design and problem-solving in various phases of user-centered design
- Staying updated with the latest UX trends, such as AI integration, extended reality, and no-code tools
- Strong analytical skills and systems thinking to identify user pain points and develop innovative solutions
- Strong visual and interaction design skills
