Hybrid Full-time Senior

Lead the UX vision and practice, managing the end-to-end design process from discovery to delivery. Champion the creation and adoption of a scalable design system while fostering a user-centered design culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to develop intuitive user journeys that align with customer expectations and business goals
  • Lead design efforts from discovery to delivery, with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and reducing cognitive load
  • Champion the creation and adoption of a coherent, scalable design system, ensuring brand consistency across Deskpro’s product suite
  • Foster a user-centred design culture through regular user research and usability testing, to inform design decisions and bring the voice of the customer into every iteration
  • Establish lightweight, efficient processes for design collaboration
  • Take a hands-on approach: creating wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and product copy when needed
  • Provide strategic, UX driven insight for innovative product features, particularly around emerging technologies such as AI
  • Act as an advocate for UX best practices across Deskpro, mentoring team members and stakeholders about UX methodologies, and fostering an effective, collaborative design culture

Requirements

  • Experience designing user-centric digital products, ideally with 5+ years in UX/UI or product design (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to own and create scalable design systems in complex products end-to-end
  • Experience building, managing, and scaling design systems, ideally within a growing technology company
  • Bring strong user research and analytics skills, with an ability to translate insights into actionable designs for product improvement
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Combine pragmatic thinking with creativity, ensuring design outcomes are both innovative and aligned with business objectives
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, particularly when explaining design choices and strategies to stakeholders
  • Proficiency with tools such as Figma or similar design and prototyping platforms
  • An interest in exploring how AI can augment and facilitate the process
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
  • Show leadership potential, mentorship experience, and passion for building and growing a user-centric, UX driven culture
