As a Senior Product Designer, you will contribute to Moneris' product strategy and explore complex problems to define the future of products. You will conduct user research and translate data into tangible solutions that enhance customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to Moneris' product strategy and help define the future of products
- Explore complex, ambiguous problems, working with team to understand opportunity and map out path forward
- Influence team's approach to product development and how design is a part of it, helping shape team's culture and practices
- Help guide continuous development of design system, and understand when best to use current design system
- Conduct user research using tools like UserTesting; translate data into solutions that are tangible and useful
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer
- Prior design experience in POS or commerce
- Facilitator who can promote impactful product brainstorming and lead discussions
- Strengths in information architecture, interaction design, and well-crafted visual design
- Willingness to mentor more junior designers
- Understanding of design systems, how to apply them, and how to contribute to them
- Experience working with responsive web and native mobile applications
- Experience conducting user research with tools like UserTesting
- Expert with tools like Figma, JIRA, and Confluence, and experience working in Agile teams
