Senior Product Designer, Teams

Lead the design of Teams features across all Datadog products while collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other designers. Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure the design solutions integrate seamlessly with user workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers, engineers, and other designers to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
• See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights and requirements into ideas, prototype to bring them to life, and ship features that make Datadog better
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be built and Q/A them before we ship
• Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
• Be the expert in your product area and collaborate cross-functional partners to drive the roadmap and vision

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in digital product design
• Portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping intuitive web experiences
• Excellent visual and written communicator who is able to clearly communicate your design work and justify your design decisions
• Experience with advanced modern-day UX/UI tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch)
• Understanding of systems thinking and component-based design patterns
• Ability to give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own

Key Skills

• Digital product design experience
