As a Product Designer, you will advocate for great user experience across various software products and conduct customer research and usability testing. You will collaborate with development teams to implement designs and maintain visual pattern libraries.
Responsibilities
- Advocating for great user experience across our range of software products including a point-of-sale software, e-commerce site, league management tool and mobile app
- Conducting onsite and remote customer research and usability testing
- Assisting with translating user stories into higher fidelity wireframes, mockups and prototypes
- Incorporating industry-best design practices into your work, explaining design choices and providing rationale
- Working with our development team to implement and integrate your designs
- Following, maintaining and expanding our visual pattern libraries and style guides
- Conduct user tests to validate designs and product direction
- Work in a cross-functional capacity to help drive design thinking and UX between products
- Working within an Agile (Scrum) environment to plan and deliver projects incrementally
- Interfacing directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand user needs and goals
- Collaborating with other designers and developers to help move our products forward
- Contributing to our company road map to help shape and influence vision for current and future products
Requirements
- Degree/diploma in Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, a related field, equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in design fundamentals like typography, color theory, layout, responsive web design and user-centered design principles
- Knowledge of current and emerging standards in design trends
- Experience working with Flutter is a plus
- A strong understanding of Accessible Design (WCAG)
- Proficiency with industry-standard user experience design technology such as Figma equivalent
- Experience with common user research and usability testing methodologies and proven ability to use data to inform your designs and decisions
- Experience with the usertesting.com platform
- Familiarity with the Material Design (Google) framework
