Founding Product Designer

Latent is seeking a Founding Product Designer to join their core team in their SF office. The role involves designing interfaces and paradigms for healthcare providers and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process from early ideation and prototyping to detailed design and shipped product.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, validate hypotheses, and iterate quickly.
• Own and evolve our design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a modern visual identity across products.
• Collaborate with our founders to define product strategy and roadmap priorities through a design lens.
• Bring a product owner mindset, actively contributing to product direction, prioritization, and identifying new opportunities.
• Make complex technical workflows elegant and intuitive.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or AI/ML products, especially those involving complex data and workflow tools.
• Demonstrated experience as a 0-1 product designer, focused on designing exceptional products that ship quickly.
• Proven ability to lead full-cycle design, from discovery and research to shipped product.
• Hands-on experience with customer touchpoints: gathering feedback, running sessions, and iterating on real-world use.
• Strong cross-functional instincts—you’ve worked closely with engineering, GTM, and account management to deliver fast, impactful outcomes.
• A strong portfolio showcasing data-rich design work, complex UX problem solving, and clean visual execution with a modern styling.
• Excellent communication and systems thinking—you know how to translate abstract concepts into intuitive workflows.
• Strong proficiency in typography, including type hierarchy, spacing, and readability across responsive interfaces.
