Gather and evaluate user requirements while collaborating with product managers and design researchers. Develop interaction flows, UI mockups, and low-fidelity prototypes, and present designs to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct user research activities (e.g. domain research, field research, surveys, ethnographic studies, expert interviews, etc)
- Lead UI/UX decision and execute designs on Figma
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineers, Product & Project Managers and Researchers to overcome various challenges and prioritize user experience
- Lead in developing and testing prototypes, proof of concept trials, etc
- Share research findings with diverse audiences through written reports and presentations
- Identify new research methods, tools and techniques in order to improve our products and solutions
Requirements
- Formal design degree from an accredited institute with a specialization in HCD
- 4-5 years of in-office experience doing human-centered design, preferably as a service designer
- Good UI/UX capabilities and experience
- Experience of research with users from diverse backgrounds, including some experience with rural, underprivileged, or other vulnerable groups - have worked on minimum 2 projects related to user research (Must have)
- Advanced level of working experience with Figma - have delivered minimum 2 projects (Must have)
- Willing to travel extensively and excited to get on the ground in rural settings
- Must be fluent in speaking Hindi and English; multiple Indian languages is a plus
- Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of various research methods
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
