The Senior UI/UX Designer focuses on creating intuitive and visually appealing designs that enhance user experience with digital products. Responsibilities include conducting user research, designing wireframes and prototypes, ensuring usability and accessibility, and maintaining design systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct User Research: Gather insights through user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points
  • Design Wireframes and Prototypes: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows
  • UI design: Crafting the visual language of the interface, including color palettes, typography, layout, and iconography
  • Prototyping and iteration: Bringing designs to life through low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, constantly refining based on user feedback
  • Ensure Usability and Accessibility: Apply usability principles and accessibility standards to ensure the product is easy to use and accessible to all users
  • Conduct Usability Testing: Test prototypes and designs with real users to identify issues and iterate based on feedback
  • Maintain Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products
  • Analyze and Improve: Use data and feedback to continuously improve and refine designs to enhance user experience
  • UX Writing: Enhance the user experience creating clear, concise, and user-centered text that guides users through digital interfaces and interactions
  • Technical Understanding: A basic understanding of coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: to ensure that the design aligns with the product's goals

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field is often preferred, but not always required
  • Experience: Typically, 2-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work, particularly in financial technology or related industries & 2-5 years of experience in UX research, with a focus on research methodologies and user insights
  • Experience in the financial sector is a plus
  • Skills: Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Knowledge of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout
  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and user flows
  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus but not always required
  • Proficiency in research methods such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing
  • Experience with research tools like UserTesting, Lookback, Optimal Workshop, or similar
