As a UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver software in short sprint cycles while conceptualizing and designing custom software application capabilities. You will lead the design of a cohesive user experience across applications and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing UI/UX design and development for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles.
  • Conceptualize and designing custom software application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
  • Lead the design of a cohesive look-and-feel and standardized user experience across the applications.
  • Take a leadership role in collaborations between the creative strategy, UX, visual design, development team, and client to create effective design strategies.
  • Develop compelling, creative, and user-focused experiences and points of view that align with clients’ business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross discipline team to create and execute experience style guides, interaction patterns, and information design standards.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes supporting design ideas and effectively communicate ideas to various stakeholders.
  • Establish standard layout and style libraries across applications.
  • Work closely the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements and collaborate on design ideas and improvements.
  • Ensure product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports.
  • Provide mentoring to junior members of the team.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation.
  • Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors.
  • 3 + years’ experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role.
  • Professional experience with enterprise UI design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, or similar tools.
  • Professional experience communicating designs with stakeholders such as product owners, end users, development teams, and management.
  • Ability to understand trade-offs between designs, technical feasibility, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end systems and open source frameworks (Angular).
