The UI/UX Designer will assist the Product Team in designing prototypes, managing the design system, and conducting user testing. They will also contribute to the launch of new features and help with customer support queries.
Responsibilities
- Assisting our Product Team in designing Prototypes and high fidelity UI mockups
- Managing our apps design system
- User testing
- Contributing in and helping set up design workshops
- Delivering on our roadmap by assisting in the building and shipping of new features for our constantly evolving product
- Gathering qualitative and quantitative user research
- Wireframing and writing specifications for new features
- Contributing to the launch of new features including writing documentation
- Dealing with customer support queries
- Helping with QA testing of new features
- Delivering UX research
- Helping our Marketing team by contributing to the design of marketing assets, presentations and the MediaHQ marketing website
Requirements
- Curiosity and the ability to be a team player with a growth mindset
- Currently studying or having attained at least degree level in a relevant field i.e. Digital Design, Software Engineering, Digital Interaction Design, Digital Interactive Media, UX/UI Design, Multimedia etc.
- Demonstrable interest in SaaS product design
- Demonstrable interest in graphic and UI design
- Some knowledge of Front End technologies – JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Front-End frameworks (Angular etc.)
- Knowledge of modern productivity tools - Teamwork, Jira, Clickup
- Knowledge of modern design tools: Figma, Illustrator, Canva etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge in UX research
- Knowledge in UX and UI design for web apps
- Some knowledge of modern website builders: Webflow, Wordpress
Key Skills
- Curiosity and team player with a growth mindset
- Relevant degree level in fields like Digital Design, Software Engineering, UX/UI Design, etc.
