Product Designer, Internship - US Government

A Product Design intern at Palantir, responsible for designing and prototyping software interfaces, conducting user research, and collaborating with engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Leading design sprints for product teams
• Designing micro-interactions and visual design for complex analytical tasks
• Advocating for UX consistency by creating flexible, reusable UI components
• Helping define early product concepts and workflows
• Executing on visual design
• Conducting informal user research and pairing qualitative methods with quantitative information
• Collaborating with engineers and product managers to prototype and build out products
• Awareness of software interface development technologies

Requirements

• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance
• Must be planning on graduating in 2027
• A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project

Key Skills

• Experience designing and prototyping using tools such as Figma
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• High empathy and dedication to the user
• Strong ability to iterate through the design process
• Willingness to learn and make decisions independently
