Design Engineer F/H

Design Engineer to shape Skillup's user interfaces and experiences, with technical ownership of the design system, in a hybrid work environment in Paris.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior product designers to conceptualize, prototype, and implement innovative UI/UX solutions.
• Own the technical implementation of the design system, enforce consistency, document it, and train engineers.
• Explore, prototype, and implement cutting-edge AI-enhanced features.
• Act as a liaison between design and engineering teams, facilitating smooth transitions from design to functional products.
• Help designers create a monitoring strategy and provide tooling for feature teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a front-end engineer.
• Extensive experience with React or similar front-end libraries.
• Built and owned proprietary design systems.
• Vision for front-end software architecture.
• Solid skills in JavaScript, React, and CSS.
• Opinionated on quality attributes like accessibility and performance.
• Experience managing and evolving design systems for developer experience and consistency, using tools like Storybook.
• Passionate about modern UI/UX, especially integrating AI capabilities.
• Collaborative, communicative, proactive in cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, Storybook) and interest in AI-enhanced UX features.
