We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team at SiteGround, focusing on our products. This role involves designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences for online store owners and website creators.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design process by creating user-friendly and visually appealing solutions that align with user needs and business goals
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure cohesive and impactful product designs
- Apply user research insights, personas, and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions, focusing on creating seamless user experiences
- Develop prototypes, wireframes, and mockups that clearly communicate design ideas and can be translated into functional interfaces
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve design skills and outcomes
- Support the maintenance of the design system by adhering to established guidelines and contributing to platform-wide consistency
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio that highlights your design work and problem-solving approach
- Proficiency in Figma and its application in collaborative design workflows
- A passion for design, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and practices
- Solid knowledge of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and web design basics
- Familiarity with typography, color theory, and creating visually appealing, user-friendly designs
- Understanding of user-centered design processes, including planning user research, usability testing, and iterative prototyping
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that designs meet high-quality standards
- A solutions-oriented mindset, capable of tackling design challenges effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Comfort with working in a dynamic environment and tackling new challenges
- Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to iterate designs based on input from stakeholders and users
- Strong organizational skills, enabling you to manage your tasks and meet deadlines effectively
