Senior UI/UX Designer II at CGS, leading UX design efforts for a large Federal agency, managing multiple projects, and collaborating with engineers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems
- Manage planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications
- Lead user research and analysis to inform creation of highly usable web pages and application interfaces
- Collaborate with federal practice engineers and clients to define, design, and implement solutions
- Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Create scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration and expansion of ECS creative services
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
- Strong UX design experience
- 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design)
- Strong online portfolio showcasing research-driven decisions
- Results-oriented problem solver with high standards for quality
- Expertise in user research methodologies and frameworks
- Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, and research tools
- Strong understanding of website development life cycle
- Experience evaluating existing systems and developing UX recommendations
- Experience designing web and mobile applications compliant with 508 and USWDS standards
- Experience prioritizing features while accounting for user goals and business requirements
- Experience carrying designs from start to finish
- Experience establishing and maintaining rapid customer feedback loops
- Self-starter, motivated, confident, and able to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience mentoring/leading junior designers
- Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
