OpenAI is hiring a product designer to create intuitive and accessible products, shaping the design culture and direction of their AI technology.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall design and product direction of OpenAI products
- Design and ship high-quality products and improvements, from early concepts to high-fidelity prototypes and visuals
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, AI research, and design peers
- Engage in user research to better understand users and refine products
- Contribute to and evolve the design system
- Help establish the design culture and grow the team
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience shipping larger scale software products
- Portfolio showcasing strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills
- Impactful communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and shape them into a clear vision
- Excitement about being immersed in the AI research process
