Mid-level Experience Researcher to join Amazon Music Research & Beta team, focusing on user-centered research and design strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead mixed-method research initiatives across the Amazon Music ecosystem (mobile, voice, web, and beyond).
  • Collaborate daily with designers to co-develop hypotheses, test early concepts, and drive iterative design through research.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops, synthesis sessions, and insight-to-action discussions with product, tech, and design teams.
  • Develop frameworks and research artifacts that help the org make strategic, customer-centric decisions.
  • Contribute to building repeatable, scalable research practices that raise the bar for our work and our thinking.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of UX research or design research experience across the full product lifecycle, with a track record of influencing design and product strategy.
  • BA/BS required in HCI, Psychology, Human Factors, or related field.
  • MA/MS/PhD in HCI, Psychology, Human Factors, or related field preferred.
  • Skilled in both qualitative methods (interviews, fieldwork, usability) and quantitative thinking (surveys, behavioral data interpretation).
  • Strong storytelling and facilitation skills; ability to communicate insights clearly across disciplines.
