Mercury is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead design efforts for their Experiences group, focusing on creating scalable and functional product experiences for their fintech platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead larger, horizontal, platform-type problems and projects that are 6+ months out.
- Partner with other designers on high-priority, complex projects.
- Work alongside product teams and leadership for systematic, high-quality builds.
- Operate across the entire design stack, from speccing to high-fidelity visuals and implementation.
- Mentor other designers on the team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the design industry.
- Enjoy leading high-complexity projects with a broad set of stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage appropriate artifacts and communicate effectively to influence company strategy.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to define product strategy.
- Design whole systems, not just interface elements or static pages.
- Rapidly prototype large-scale concepts as well as smaller interactions.
- Interest in the entire design stack, including UI/UX, visual design, and interaction design.
- Kindness and humility in everyday interactions.
- Enjoyment in mentoring fellow designers of all levels.
