Onsite Full-time Lead

Mercury is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead design efforts for their Experiences group, focusing on creating scalable and functional product experiences for their fintech platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead larger, horizontal, platform-type problems and projects that are 6+ months out.
  • Partner with other designers on high-priority, complex projects.
  • Work alongside product teams and leadership for systematic, high-quality builds.
  • Operate across the entire design stack, from speccing to high-fidelity visuals and implementation.
  • Mentor other designers on the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the design industry.
  • Enjoy leading high-complexity projects with a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage appropriate artifacts and communicate effectively to influence company strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to define product strategy.
  • Design whole systems, not just interface elements or static pages.
  • Rapidly prototype large-scale concepts as well as smaller interactions.
  • Interest in the entire design stack, including UI/UX, visual design, and interaction design.
  • Kindness and humility in everyday interactions.
  • Enjoyment in mentoring fellow designers of all levels.
