Product Designer for Zip, crafting seamless card spend experiences. Hybrid role with 2 days in Sydney CBD office.
Responsibilities
- Design exceptional experiences and flows for our customers that are simple, elegant, and delightful.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering, working in a triad to design experiences that solve a customer problem, are technically feasible, and deliver on business objectives.
- Utilize design thinking to go from problem definition to high-quality solutions.
- Go broad in ideation, narrow down the options, and form an opinion that you can confidently argue for.
- Use data and research - both quantitative and qualitative - to identify opportunities and problems, make decisions, and inform trade-offs.
- Regularly design, run, and learn from experiments and continuously measure the success of your work using the right metrics.
- Champion our value of Customer First by being an advocate for, and voice of, our customer.
- Design broader end-to-end experiences that you break down into increments to ship.
- Contribute to the development of the Card Spend roadmap and longer-term product strategy.
- Contribute to the growth of our Design practice through knowledge sharing, regularly giving structured feedback to your peers, and working on Design Ops initiatives.
- Contribute to the uplift of our design system.
Requirements
- 3+ years working in product design.
- Well-rounded experience across Product, UX, UI, and interaction design.
- A portfolio that demonstrates app design projects.
- Passion for design thinking methods and a deep understanding of design practices.
- Attention to detail and a strong visual sensibility & interaction design.
- Experience working cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, with an ability to influence outcomes, advocate for design choices, and challenge ideas.
- Experience utilising existing data to form hypotheses and design experiments.
- Experience conducting evaluative research and synthesizing results into actionable insights.
- A quality mindset that gets the right balance between speed and quality.
- A passion for working in a fast-paced team.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
- An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
- Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced team.
- Experience working with AI and new tools to adapt, learn, and grow.
