Lead UCD Consultant

Mastek is looking for a UCD Lead to drive user-centred design initiatives across various sectors, leading projects, mentoring teams, and developing UCD strategies. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and contributing to business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strategize UCD activities across various program contexts
• Plan and execute UCD activities tailored to project needs
• Communicate project scopes and resolutions effectively
• Support clients throughout the UCD process
• Create and quality control UCD deliverables
• Manage and address organizational complexities
• Embed business change management in UCD processes
• Identify and pursue new client opportunities
• Contribute to the development of propositions and 'points of view'
• Line manage and mentor team members
• Lead community development activities

Requirements

• Proven UCD experience in agile teams and complex programs
• Mastery of UCD methods and tools
• Consultancy or project leadership experience
• Coaching, mentoring, or management of UCD/design teams
• Familiarity with GDS/NHS service standards
• Experience in operational delivery (bonus)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong facilitation skills for remote and in-person workshops
• Ability to manage complex and ambiguous projects
