Lead UX Designer - Capital One Software

Capital One Software is seeking a Lead UX Designer to join their team in McLean, VA, to lead user experience strategies and product designs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs
• Translate complex ideas into understandable concepts
• Engage in portfolio prioritization to set strategy and product roadmap
• Advocate for the customer through human-centered design methods
• Champion prioritization of design-centered product enhancements
• Build and lead successful teams through career development
• Guide team members in strategy, research, alignment, analysis, and design execution
• Navigate conflict resolution within the team and projects
• Support early product definition through discovery sessions
• Demonstrate familiarity with design tools to deliver concepts
• Drive end-to-end product design, including user research and usability studies
• Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models
• Plan and facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders
• Design within existing standards and contribute to the internal design system
• Storytelling and presenting visual concepts to various stakeholders

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with User Experience design
• Experience designing for cross-channel experiences preferred
• Experience working with a variety of business partners and delivering outcomes preferred
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch and/or Figma preferred
• Experience managing a cross-functional team preferred
