Focus on executing customer technical requirements, conducting risk assessment, creating 3D models and 2D drawings, and managing checkpoints for Molex's product development.
Responsibilities
- Collect and interpret customer design requirements.
- Review requirements, feasibility, and exceptions with the Product Development Team (PDT).
- Engage in technical discussions with customers regarding design feasibility.
- Perform design verification activities, including tolerance analysis, FEA, SLA, and patent investigation.
- Release drawings and models for tooling design and development.
- Cooperate with CD design engineers for product validation tests and documentation release.
- Provide training to customers and other Molex engineering personnel.
- Offer design support for product modifications and extensions.
- Respond to customer complaints on design-related issues.
Requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of product design experience in the automotive connector industry.
- Understanding of the automotive connector industry standards and OEM requirements.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Good communication skills, including English proficiency.
