Junior Design Product Developer

Junior Design Product Developer for a furniture manufacturer, maternity cover, focusing on fabric and upholstery development.

Responsibilities

• Administer the new Accent fabric swatch AW 2026, working with suppliers and in-house factory.
• Develop fabric newness for 2027 and beyond.
• Maintain fabric information in a shared spreadsheet.
• Organize fabrics, fabric archive, manage files and images.
• Create swatch packs for design, development, and sales.
• Liaise with suppliers on design queries.
• Collate and manage fabric swatch boards for ranges.
• Liaise with supply chain, sales, and marketing teams regarding suppliers, issues, and availability.
• Conduct research and assist in mood board creation.
• Project manage new product introductions in the factory and with external suppliers.
• Use Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator to produce Assembly Instruction documents.
• Manage fabric codes and communicate introductions/deletions.
• Manage and refresh showroom layout ahead of launches.

Requirements

• Creative degree in furniture, textiles, or product design.
• Good knowledge of Creative suite.
• Experience within the furnishing industry, specifically in upholstery or fabrics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel and see suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills and a professional approach.
