Motion Graphic Designer

Join TEGNA as a Motion Graphic Designer to create animated graphics and video assets for TEGNA local news stations.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate broadcast graphics for TEGNA local news stations.
• Communicate with stations about projects and daily graphics.
• Learn CG design software (Chyron Prime) and participate in template creation as needed.
• Handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Formal training in design/art school and preferably motion graphic curriculum.
• Proficient in Cinema 4D and/or Blender preferred.
• Applicants with editing experience (Adobe Premiere) will have stronger consideration.
• Broadcast experience desired.
• 2-4 years of experience as a motion graphic designer in a professional graphic design environment is preferred.
• Strong executional skills in Adobe products, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro.
• A professional portfolio demonstrating compelling and aspirational designs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to perform under very tight deadlines.
• Ability to multitask projects.
• Able to react to change and take direction effectively and productively.
• Strong spelling and grammar skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends.
