Notion is hiring a design engineer to help shape their website and bridge design and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Join a growing team of designers and engineers and help to shape Notion’s website
- Bridge a code-friendly design team and a design-friendly engineering team
- Create beautiful front-end experiences, and custom tools that enable said experiences to scale
- Create design systems, prototypes and whatever else is needed to bring great ideas to life on Notion.com
- Collaborate with teams across the company to bring initiatives and new products to market using novel design and storytelling solutions
Requirements
- Exceptional front-end development skills, especially with CSS
- Motion/animation experience is a plus
- Experience working within large, multi-lingual websites is a plus
- Refined taste in design and a thorough understanding of web typography
- 4–8 years of design engineering experience on in-house teams
- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage ideas
- Passion for toolmaking and expanding access to technology
